First Produced In.......

In 1988 Renault motor works replaced Renault 9 and Renault 11 by a new model - Renault 19. This model became a very successful commodity on the inland market as well as in other countries where it had been exported. It was repeatedly the best seller among imported cars in Germany. This model was produced in two bodywork variations -- 3 or 5-door with a sheer back or notchback and a large luggage department. Cabriolet at the end of the model line was the "candy for epicures". Renault 19 passed through an innovation in 1992. The change of the front part of the car with a Renault mark in the middle was the most visible result of this innovation. These changes were the beginning of a new trend in Renault design. This philosophy became self-evident also with the Laguna and Megane models.

  Digital Speedos!

The Renault 19, Was one of the first publicly available cars to have the Digital Speedos and gauges. This was a affordable car revalation.

The Renault 19 recorded to do over 125+ mph.
